2. Poverty is caused by sometimes making an income below $11,139 for a single adult or less than $22,314 for a family of four. It has been nearly 50 years since President Lyndon Johnson declared war on poverty and 15.9% of our fellow citizens from, many of them children, continue to live in penury. That is literally what out of 6 people. Even before an economic collapse, an average American adult has a 60% chance of living at least one year below the poverty line and the 33% chance of experiencing dire poverty. 3. I think we should help donate money food to those less fortunate than us. Yet, of course, we already do that and that's not enough. There are poor and homeless children who go for drugs and alcohol the soothe the pain when they're homeless. Young girls who are homeless go into prostitution just to get some money. Businesses don't really care about them. We just need to help those less fortunate and do more and help the people who aren't making enough mone...

Getting into college is not easy. Anyone who has ever applied for admission to a selective college or who has been interviewed for a high desired job really knows the feeling of waiting impatiently to learn to the result of one's application. I person you know exactly how those people feel. It's not really hard to identify those applicants to some of the nation's most prestigious MBA programs who thought they had a chance to get an early glimpse of leave there ambition was to be fulfilled. There has been some instances where some kids we cheat to get into college. I was looking at getting into Community College. I was even looking enough to get into CSU. I flunked out of CSU because bad teachers and it was too expensive. There's some kids who would do something stupid like mention that they are able to cheat to get into school. Some kids will even go so far as and exploit special needs students and do criminal thing to get into college. College it can be a waste of ti...
Union Discrimination

This is a classic case of needing to treat union and nonunion workers better. We need to give them more rights and more accommodations to these workers. The “right to work” means the right of an individual to work without being authorized to join a union or pay union dues. To put it this way, it means that companies cannot sign contracts with unions agreeing to only hire workers who are willing to join the union or at least pay equivalent of union dues, which they shouldn't have to do. Contracts should be for everyone. This is really discrimination at its best. That's like hiring me because I'm on minority and a female. Paul Robertson is not a member of a persecuted minority, but he has experienced blatant discrimination all the same because he has chosen not to join a union. He doesn't have to join a union if he doesn't want to. You can't hire somebody because they're in the Union if you can do the job and you're qualified. Paul Robertson is a hard-wor...

“Good people proceed while considering that what is best for others is best for themselves”, Hitopeadesa (Business Ethics pg 11). The protagonist starts to question humanity, or better yet start to lose faith in humanity. When he was traveling or working with rich people, he thought they and their servants were happy. But when he found drugs their cupboards oh, he said to realize that money doesn't give you happiness. He learned that money only gives you security but not happiness. He occupied an area in India where people can go outside without locking their doors and do whatever, and a person would go inside their house and help themselves to a meal. Remind you that this person comes in the house is a stranger. In America, we have to lock our doors to keep people from taking our stuff. Of course, the protagonist started to learn strange customs that most people deemed unsafe. He learns that urbanization can cause disharmony. The protagonist learns that being a rural area works f...

This was one of the shortest classes I have ever been in throughout my entire semester. It Is really hard to fail this class, I mean this is a class on morals and ethics. it is like failing a class that teaches you had to think. My moral beliefs and ethics are conflicted, I believe in doing the right thing. I would turn in an acquaintance who done something bad because I don't want to go to jail for not snitching. Don't get me wrong, I will turn them in a heartbeat because the no snitching policy is the most worthless stupid thing I have ever heard of. I am a liberal who's in between conservative and strong liberal . I believe in women's choices and pro-choice, but I also believe in the death penalty. I have learned that doing the right thing doesn't make you a good person sometimes. Making good decisions very harder than it looks. There are people who purposely make bad decisions and the people trying to make good decisions. A person could rob a bank to suppor...

Extra Credit “MNCs should produce more good than bad for the host country”. (pg 52) “Although the dual assumptions about its rationality and opportunism complicate the study of economic behavior and may be inessential for some purposes, the study of alternate modes of organization does not qualify as an exception. To the contrary, failure to recognize and make allowances for both is virtual to invite mistaken assessments of alternative modes. Taking these two behavioral into account, the following compact statement of the problem of economic organization is suggested: assess alternative governance structures in terms of their capacities to economize on bounded rationality while simultaneously safeguarding transactions against opportunism”. (Pg 27) I did not know what you wanted in a passage, I did not want to copy a whole page. The passage above relates to all the prompts. Rawls's theory of justice centers around the adaptation of the two fundamental principles of justice wh...
